SATURDAY 8 JUNE

TENT I

12:30-16:30 | WOODEN BIRDS FROM STRYSZAWA 🐦✨
Learn about the Stryszawa’s 200-year-old toy making tradition, and decorate your own wooden Stryszawa bird under the watchful eye of regional craftsman, Tadeusz Leśniak.

17:00-20:00 | COLOURFUL NECKLACES ✂️🌾
Red beads are one of the most recognisable features of Polish folk costume. Design and make your own wooden beads with our workshop leaders from the Centre for Polish Folklore.

TENT II

12:00-15:00 | SUMMER GARLANDS 🌸🌿
Bogusława Drzewiecka, who specialises in making many wonderful things from crepe paper, will lead this workshop. You’ll learn how to make crepe paper flowers and create your own garland – the perfect summer accessory.

15:30-20:30 | STRAW FIGURES 🌾🧺
Anna Deynega uses straw to make hats, baskets, utensils, jewellery and flowers. She’ll talk about working with straw and help you make your own unique straw figures.

SUNDAY 9 JUNE

TENT I

12:00-15:30 | DRESS UP PAPER DOLLS 👗🎨
Mazowsze Ensemble’s costumes are famous for their craftsmanship and attention to detail. Create the perfect souvenir from your visit to Karolin in the form of a paper doll dressed in one of the Ensemble’s legendary costumes.

16:00-20:00 | STRING CRAFTS 🧵🔗
The Bogusławski family are gifted at making remarkable items from many different materials, including paper string. During this workshop they’ll be sharing ideas for how to use this everyday material creatively, and you’ll leave with your own original handmade item.

TENT II

12:30-16:00 | WAX CANDLES 🐝🕯️
A great opportunity to learn about the fascinating lives of bees and to make your own wax candles under the expert eye of beekeepers from Pasieka Gajówka.

16:30-19:30 | TRADITIONAL CUT OUTS 🌾🧺
Edyta Cieślik- Moczek takes inspiration from the folk art of the Opoczno region in central Poland, where she also runs the Niebowo open-air museum. During these workshops you’ll learn about the art of paper cutting and make your own cut outs in the Opoczno style.
