Romanca à la Kujawiak

Romance blossoms between a high school pupil and a university student who meet by chance. Their shared experiences – both amusing and romantic – intense emotions and fascination with music and dance lead audiences into the world of Polish dancing. The production introduces audiences to the origins, history and form of the five Polish national dances:  the polonaise, mazur, kujawiak, oberek and krakowiak, and culminates with the presentation of the polonaise at the high school ball.  Popular among school groups and young people, it features stunning performances by the Mazowsze Ensemble ballet group and orchestra.
