A Musical Summer in Karolin - Traditional Drumming Workshop

The frame drum - enduringly popular among folk musicians - set the rhythm for past rituals and dances. Today, it continues to fascinate musicians and audiences alike, and the ability to play it is a coveted skill. Join us on Sunday 10 August for a remarkable opportunity to get to grips with basic theory and practice, learning some characteristic rhythms accompanying Polish traditional dances under the watchful eye of Mateusz Dobrowolski, master drummer from the Polish-Belorussian group Hajda Banda / Гайда Банда. This workshop is open to all, irrespective of experience.
